Spelling Paragraphs: We are trying out a new assignment with our spelling words. The students are to take one of the challenge words and use it in a topic sentence. Then, they must use other spelling words (not challenge words) to complete the rest of the paragraph. For example, if I take the challenge word "finally" and use it to start my paragraph the finished result will be:
1. We finally were able to go on a field
trip with our class. I knew our teacher
would let us but we only have a few days until it
happens. I can't wait until we get off the bus
and begin our field trip.
